After you fill out the form below we will assist you in booking the best flight from your home city. All of our tours are safe spaces for Black people and have a focus on diasporic Black experiences, support for Black businesses and local Black guides. Check the itinerary and early bird pricing below.

Welcome to the pre-trip! After we pick you up from the airport and make the drive down to Hopkins we’ll check into the resort and have a mini meet and greet poolside. We will meet up in the evening for a Garifuna cultural immersion tour. You will learn how to make Hudut (Sere) which is fish cooked in fresh coconut milk with onions, peppers, and more [360º image]. While your food is being cooked fresh you will get a drumming lesson [360º image] by a master drummer that keeps Garifuna culture alive through music. Later on that night when we party, you can try out your new moves.

Today we’ll start off with a local 2mi hike to get the blood flowing. The reward at the end of the hike features a beautiful waterfall [360º image], wading pool, small cave behind the waterfall [360º image] and amazing views of lush green Belize. After our hike we’ll have a Belizean style cocktail tasting made with with rum and local fruits. The rest of the day can be spent poolside, kayaking near the hotel or roaming the town via beach-cruiser bikes [360º image] .

Belize has been waiting for you… welcome! When you land we’ll meet you right outside of baggage claim with a colorful “TRAVELING BLACK” sign. After that we’ll load everyone up into our air-conditioned private coach and make the drive down to Hopkins Village. On the way down we’ll go over the trip itinerary, local customs and get to know each other since we’ll be hanging out for the next week! After checking into your beach villas we’ll do a meet and greet with the entire group, let the fun begin!
* The pre-extension crew will have some free time to shop, relax or go on an excursion of choice.

Like islands? Me too! So, did you know Belize has around 400 islands? We will spend the first half of the day island hopping [360º image] to a couple of our favorites. During the first stop you’ll be able to witness manatees in their natural habitat. Next we’ll visit a small tropical island where you can snorkel, swim or just walk around the island. We’ll eat lunch and relax in hammocks at the rum bar [360º image] then head back to mainland. After dinner we’ll participate in some of the lively Caribbean parties while we celebrate life.

After breakfast we’ll take you to explore the ancient Mayan ruins [360º image] of Xunantunich (or Cahal Pech). At well over a thousand years old, this archaeological site holds the history from a time long forgotten. The rest of the day can be spent at a Mayan village that specializes in cacao farming and natural chocolate. There is an optional chocolate making class [360º image 1 & 2] for anyone who is interested in REAL chocolate. At night, we party and we punta dance.

The Monday after Easter, Belizeans in southern Belize caravan down to Sittee River. There they host a large day party with BBQ, youth soccer games, contests and live music. We’ll spend the day here, eat, drink and party like the locals do.

In conclusion, this is the sad day that we have to say goodbye. Congratulations on taking the time to Experience Belize 2027. We will take you to the airport early to ensure you make your flight on time. Above all, we hope to see you again on future Traveling Black trips!
